Zinc Plating / Alloys

Electrolytic Zinc Plating

Pure zinc applied by electrodeposition, with resistance and finishes tailored to each industry.

Description

Electrolytic Zinc Plating is a surface treatment applied by electrodeposition that creates a pure zinc coating on metal parts, providing corrosion protection and improving the product’s final finish. It can be applied both in bulk and in rack plating, adapting to different types of parts, geometries, and industrial requirements.

This process allows the addition of post-passivation in different colors, such as blue, yellow, olive green, or black, with alternatives that may include hexavalent chromium or trivalent systems free of hexavalent chromium. It also allows the use of sealers, lubricants, and friction coefficient modifiers, making it possible to tailor coating performance to the technical needs of each application.

Electrolytic Zinc Plating offers a versatile and reliable solution for parts that require corrosion protection, a uniform finish, and compatibility with demanding industrial specifications. Depending on the passivation system used, it can achieve up to 200 hours without white corrosion and between 400 and 600 hours without red corrosion in ASTM B117 salt spray testing.
