Zinc Phosphate is a chemical conversion treatment applied to steel parts, designed to generate a microcrystalline, homogeneous, and controlled protective layer. This process improves the material’s behavior against corrosion and prepares the surface to receive subsequent coatings, ensuring a reliable technical base for surface protection systems.
Its main advantage lies in the excellent adhesion it provides for paints and final coatings. By optimizing the interaction between the base metal and the layer applied afterward, Zinc Phosphate helps extend the service life of the complete system, especially in parts that require high anti-corrosion performance under paint.
This treatment produces layers between 1.5 and 6 g/m² with a defined and uniform crystalline structure. It also offers greater corrosion resistance compared with iron phosphate, making it a suitable solution for industrial applications where improved durability, finish quality, and protection of treated steel are required.
