Self-Locking Systems

NYLOK®

Self-locking nylon patch · Reusable

Description

NYLOK® is a fastening technology developed to turn conventional screws into self-locking elements by applying a nylon patch to a specific area of the thread. This patch creates controlled interference during assembly, improving joint security and providing sealing properties against the entry or leakage of liquids and gases.

Thanks to the elastic memory of nylon, screws treated with NYLOK® can be assembled and disassembled multiple times without significantly losing their locking properties. In addition, the system allows torque performance to be adjusted according to the needs of each application by varying the application angle or the number of threads covered by the patch.

NYLOK® can be applied to different types of metals, including stainless steel, light alloys, and brass, as well as to nuts and screws with surface treatments. Its temperature resistance, chemical stability, and non-toxicity make it a practical, safe, and reliable solution for industrial processes that require reusable, clean, high-performance fastenings.

Key Features

Reusable

maintains its torque properties even after multiple assemblies and disassemblies.

Effective Locking in Any Position

ideal for adjustment screws or set screws.

Integrated Sealing:

the patch prevents the leakage or entry of liquids and gases up to 6 bar, especially when applied at a 360° angle.

Torque Flexibility

the number of threads and the application angle can be adjusted according to the required specification.

Compatibility

Applicable to all types of metals, as well as to nuts and screws with different surface treatments.

Chemical Resistant

it does not dry out, decompose, or shrink and can be stored indefinitely.

High Thermal Resistance

up to at least 120°C and usually up to 160°C.

Security

It is non-toxic and poses no risks to personnel during assembly.

Industrial Advantage

eliminates the need to apply additional adhesives during assembly, optimizing industrial processes and reducing production times
