Self-Locking Systems

PRECOTE®

Microencapsulated adhesive · Activated during assembly · Integrated locking and sealing

Description

PRECOTE® is a microencapsulated adhesive for threaded fasteners, developed to ensure reliable locking and sealing in screws, studs, nuts, and other fastening elements. Its acrylate-based technology remains dry to the touch and activates only during assembly, when the rupture of the microcapsules initiates the locking and curing process.

This system helps prevent loosening caused by vibrations and avoids leaks of liquids, gases, or oils, offering an efficient solution for industrial applications that require safety, sealing, and durability. It also replaces the manual application of adhesives during assembly, optimizing production processes, reducing operating times, and improving assembly repeatability.

PRECOTE® includes alternatives such as PRECOTE® 80 and PRECOTE® 85, tailored to different fastening and friction control requirements. Its performance includes excellent chemical resistance, a temperature range from -50°C to 170°C, high-pressure sealing, and compliance with international standards and approvals in the automotive and industrial sectors.
