ELECTROLYTIC ZINC

These are treatments applied by electroplating in bulk or in a still bath, which allow to obtain a pure zinc coating which can be subsequently passivated with Plain, Yellow, Green or Black colorations, either with or without hexavalent chromium, as well as the use of sealants, lubricants or modifiers of coefficient of friction later.

 


Passivations with hexavalent chromium
Plain, yellow, olive green and black passivators are available.

Passivations hexavalent chromium free
Clear to slightly iridescent colorations are obtained, the application of a subsequent seal is recommended to improve the properties of the passivation.

Corrosion resistance (Salt spray ASTM B-117)

  • Hexavalent passivators: Up to 200 Hs without white corrosion and up to 400 Hs without red corrosion.
  • Trivalent passivators: Up to 200 Hs without white corrosion and up to 600 Hs without red corrosion.
